The Senior Manager Running Communities Asia is responsible for managing and implementation of adidas Runners in Asia, focusing on the global key cities Shanghai and Tokyo. A successful Senior Manager will generate a develop concepts and ideas to further adidas Runners (AR) movement across Asia trough various channels (including social media), as well as maintain a constant pulse on the community sentiment and collect/analyze consumer feedback.

The Senior Manager will serve as the liaison between our AR community and local runners, as well as collaborate closely with our AR Core Team, Running Brand Communication, Sports Marketing, CRM, Newsroom and more, to ensure alignment and consistency when driving community engagement.


  • Act as the main interface to the Asian AR community, Land the global AR strategy and toolkit, detect and develop localized AR needs and package and communicate with all relevant stakeholders transparently
  • Oversee AR planning in different cities, provide valuable comments to ensure consistency across cities from a strategic point of view
  • Monitor AR regular activations in the cities, work with local core team and agencies to ensure seamless execution and all KPIs are well delivered
  • Support local core team to create and manage AR social accounts (WeChat & Weibo), provide topline guidebook and necessary training
  • Monitor AR hub set up in each city, ensure it obeys basic criteria and at the same time features local flavors
  • Develop guideline and toolkit for local core team to moderate community conversation and promote positive conversation especially in AR WeChat group by maintaining a two-way dialogue between runners and key local Core Team members
  • Play active role within broader AR team and processes, representing a voice of the AR community
  • Anticipate future consumer needs and create excitement for upcoming/new AR features and improvements
  • Collaborate with Brand Comms and Sports Marketing teams to build close, transparent relationships with our most engaged runners and our top influencers (e.g. elite runners)
  • Work with CRM team to keep upgrading Mini Program, make it more user-friendly, sociable and powerful in data analysis
  • Conduct surveys and research with AR Community to identify and better understand issues impacting the experience and potential enhancements to improve the experience
  • Regularly deliver AR status, user feedback, issues or potential risks and community insights and offer actionable next steps on an ongoing basis
  • Internal report and summary on regular basis
  • Work closely with CRM, Newsrooms and Operation teams on improving overall AR experience
  • Be a subject matter expert of the AR, inside and out
  • Ensure all adidas standards, policies and processes are observed and followed


  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication/ Master (is a plus)
  • 3+ years work of professional experience in managing running and community platforms in Asia
  • Fluent in standard mandarin
  • Strategic and creative thinker with the ability to present new ideas effectively
  • A self-motivated, detail-oriented team player
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to objectively interpret user / community feedback and make actionable recommendations
  • Technologically conversant and enthusiastic about technology as it facilities business process
